Custom Cross-references and Footnotes - Watch a demo video of it!
- For every single word in the entire scripture applications, you can create as many custom cross-references and notes as you desire. This allows you to highly customize your study and learning experience.

History List - Remembers exactly where you have been
- Remembers the exact location you were at in the last 50 chapters/documents
- Selecting one will return to the the exact location you were previously at

Auto-scrolling - Have the text automatically scroll up the screen for you while reading!
- Auto-scrolling supports two different modes of scrolling: tilt-scrolling and timed-scrolling:
- Tilt-scrolling - The scroll speed is determined by how much the iPhone/iTouch is tilted while reading.
- Timed-scrolling - The scroll speed is adjusted by using a slider control to adjust the speed.

Backup and Restore - Not available in U.S. Historical Documents
- Email the application's data file to yourself with all of your bookmarks, highlights, etc. in it.
- In case something ever happens to your device, you can restore your data from a previous backup.

Customizable Fonts, Colors, Margins and Alignments - See a picture of it!
Customize the following to your personal tastes:
- Font style
- Font size
- Background color
- Text color
- Notes color
- Link color
- Margin width
- Paragraph spacing
- Text alignment

Landscape Reading Mode - See a picture of it!
- While viewing a chapter, rotate the device to read in landscape mode. All toolbars will be removed to maximize reading space. You may also add bookmarks and notes while reading in landscape mode.

Application tips
For a new user several tips will appear explaining main features of the application.

Adjustable font size
Use a pinching gesture to adjust the font size when viewing a chapter (font size is also adjustable in the application settings area)
The font style can also be changed in the application's setttings

Quick Navigation System - See a picture of it!
Select books, chapters and verses using a quick grid view. No need to scroll all the time!
Note: U.S. Historical Documents uses a traditional list of documents rather than a grid view - See a picture of it!

Bookmark System - See a picture of it!
Create a bookmark for any verse (paragraph) and then easily jump back to that verse.
Bookmarks display the name of the verse as well as the verse's text for easy recognition.
Rearrange the order of bookmark folders and verses within a folder.
Folders may contain any number of verses.
When a bookmark's verse has been navigated to you can easily navigate to other verses in the same folder using up/down arrow buttons.
Create bookmark folders for topics, lessons, etc.!
Easily replace a bookmark with another one (for keeping track of personal reading location, family location, etc.)
Application ships with pre-defined bookmark folders for all scripture mastery verses. (only in LDS Books)
The bookmarks and bookmark folders can be deleted, renamed, updated, cut, copied, pasted and reordered. Folders may also have a description attached to them.

Verse History
Stores a history of recently navigated to verses for quick retrieval.
When re-launched, restores you to the exact location in the chapter (this can be disabled in the application settings)

Search Engine - See a picture of it!
Search by words and/or phrases.
Instant search results - matching results are displayed as you type.
Search results are displayed with the verse reference and verse snippets with all search terms highlighted.
Once a search result has been navigated to, easily browse through the other search results using up/down arrow buttons.
The last search terms are remembered for quick modification.

Advanced Search Options

• Wildcard search - single and multiple characters.
• Fuzzy search - find words that sound like other words - great for when you don't know the exact spelling!
• Proximity search - find words within x characters of each other.
• Boolean operators - combine multiple search terms with AND, OR and NOT operators.

Custom Notes - See a picture of it!
Create notes for the application, individual books, chapters and verses.
Assign an icon to the note which will be displayed when viewing the associated book, chapter or verse.
While reading a chapter, easily toggle between the assigned icon and the note's text for each verse.

Advanced Chapter View - See a picture of it!
Rapid verse selection - similar in functionality to the scroll bar in the Contacts application. Just slide your thumb up and down the right side of the screen to quickly locate any verse in a chapter. (the slider can be disabled in the application settings)
Easily scroll to next/previous chapter.
Double-click on a verse to create/edit/delete the verse's note or create a bookmark for it.
Whenever a verse is navigated to, the verse will be highlighted for quick reference. It even works for multiple verses from the scripture mastery bookmark folders! (LDS Books only)
