So I'm feeling somewhat overwhelmed by all the options we have and I don't really feel like I'm having it all go as smoothly as it could. I'm just wondering how everyone else is using them and seeing if there's anything I can change to maybe help improve my flow. I know right now, when I'm highlighting, I have to add tags to each verse that I'm highlighting, otherwise there's no way for me to actually reference it and study it. I know there's a list you can see of all your highlights, but that's pretty useless for me as there's just a long list and I have no idea what it's referring to. So does anyone have any other thoughts?
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to balance the bookmarks vs. tabs. I've moved my most used bookmarks to the tabs, but I'm not sure what I should give a tab and what I should give a bookmark. I've thought about maybe using bookmarks to make scripture chains, groups of scriptures and the like (muddying the tags water), but I haven't really established yet what is "tab worthy" and what is "bookmarkable."

I find using many layers of bookmark folders as the best way to find scriptures by topic or those under current study. You can edit folders to be in Alphabetical order or any way you want like, chains, groups, subject, tags, etc.. I use the tabs to get me to major parts of the app like, Mormon Doctrine, BD, TG, SS manual, Priesthood manual, Hymns, etc., I wish I could set a tab for OT, NT, B of M, and other, but tabs will not let you do that yet.
Yep, that's my strategy, too.
Yep, that's my strategy, too. I use tabs to get to major works quickly, not a specific verse or point in a work. IOW, it saves me the extra strokes to get to the table of contents to these works.
And I also agree with you that bookmarks are still the best way to study scriptures. I keep bookmarks like I would with real bookmarks, keeping my place for where I'm studying and also to keep permanent marks for important references for me. I use tags to create my own personal Topical Guide.
