AppCraver.com, probably the largest and most respected application review site for iPhone applications, has awarded U.S. Historical Documents a perfect score, 10/10! You can read the entire review here.

We are requesting comments and suggestions for the next main feature we want to add to both The Bible and LDS Books. It will be a custom cross reference/tagging system that will allow you to link together different verses.

There has already been some discussion on the feature in the forums. Please add your comments to this existing thread. Now is the time to be heard!

Version 1.9.2 has been sent to Apple for approval. With the holidays here in the States, it may take a few days longer than normal to go through their approval process.

Once it's available on the iTunes App Store I'll make another post describing what has been added, updated or fixed.

We're wrapping up the features and testing for the next update to The Bible and LDS Books and should have it submitted to Apple in the next couple of days. It will contain a few minor bug fixes that have been found and some user-submitted feature requests. We were hoping to get some larger features in this release, but decided to wait on those until after the holidays in case they accidentally broke anything - we expect Apple to slow down on their update approval process during the holidays.

Just a heads up that we've submitted a new application to the iTunes App Store and we will be reorganizing the Standard Works website to account for it. We'll be revamping parts of the website and adjusting the forums at least.

I just got notification from the iTunes App Store that version 1.8.2 has been approved and should be available for download shortly.

Version 1.8.2 is just a bug fix release to address some reported issues with the new auto-scrolling features. Here's a complete list of what was changed:

• Fixed crash when tilt-scrolling was on and the next or previous chapter buttons were pressed.
• Fixed state of scroll icons if the scroll toolbar was closed while scrolling was occurring.
  

Mormon Techie posted a review of the three most popular LDS-based scripture programs on their website. Out of all three LDS Books was the highest rated!

Version 1.8.1 of The Bible and LDS Books has been released on the iTunes App Store!

Here's a more detailed description of what's changed:

Features Added:

• Auto-Scrolling - (note: auto-scrolling currently only works in portrait mode. Landscape support will be added in a future release.)
  • Two different modes of auto-scrolling:
    • Tilt scrolling - The scroll speed is determined by how much the iPhone/iTouch is tilted while reading. Tilting towards you speeds up the scroll speed while tilting away from you slows it down.
